NEWNESS UPDATE: Candle Weekend (and After) Newness

As you may (or may not) know, Candle Day was last Friday and, for pandemic precautions, was spread the whole weekend. I chose not to participate (for the first time in 6 or 7 years) for quite a few reasons...I have a whole rant about that. Speaking of which, I was honestly so annoyed by the Candle Day Weekend that I honestly was n't in the mood to write this post but as this blog is an encyclopedia/compendium of sorts, I felt compelled to write this anyway for the sake of posterity.

At any rate, quite of few non-winter/holiday collections popped up that weekend - some online, some in certain stores, some meant to be released after Candle Day, some popped up online today. Inconsistency, thy name is BBW! At any rate, here's what has popped up and will pop up.

The first collection is the "Pop Culture" Collection. These are are Summer Sips-esque collection of drink inspired scents. Returning scents include Watermelon Lemonade, Pink Apple Punch, Aloha Kiwi Passionfruit, Peach Bellini and Island Margarita. The one lone new scent is...

Cookies & Cream Milkshake - Chocolate Cookie Crumbles, Vanilla Bean Ice Cream, Chocolate Drizzle (the consensus is this is basically Hot Cocoa & Cream mixed with Vanilla Bean Marshmallow)

The next is a WB collection with marbley tumblers in different colors. Returning scents include  Eucalyptus Mint, Cactus Blossom, Black Teakwood, Mahogany Coconut, Market Peach, Sunwashed Citrus, Strawberry Poundcake and Island Margarita. The one new scent is...

Linen Sheets - Fresh Ocean Air, Anjou Pear, Violet Petals, Wam Vanilla (those notes sound familiar but I can't quite place it)

Then there's another WB decor collection with half and half tumblers with a dark color on bottom and a light color on top separated by a swipe of gold. Returning scents include Crystal Waters, Fresh Cut Lilacs and White Tea & Sage. The new scents are...

Deep Blue Sea - Blue Citrus Waves, Crisp Island Woods, Fresh Cypress (word on the street it's cologney, certainly sounds that way based on the notes. No word on whether it's new or a repackage.)

Vanilla & Peach Tea - Peach Tea, Sweet Vanilla Creme, Fresh Oat Milk (newness with a familiar peach note)

And yet another WB decor collection called "Fresh Start" ; these have watercolor leaves and/or flowers  on the labels. Returning scents include Cactus Blossom, Cucumber & Lily, Lavender Vanilla, Sugared Lemon Zest, Sun-drenched Linen and Sunshine & Daffodils. There are 2 new scents....

Mango Waters - Sugared Mango, Pink Grapefruit, Fresh Seagrass (new scent with familiar mango note)

Sweet Rosemary Vanilla - Fresh Rosemary, Sweet Vanilla Cake, Whipped Frosting  (said to smell like Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut with added rosemary)

There 2 mini collections that I think are part of the Fresh Start collection - one are luminary tumblers (Fiji White Sands, Palo Santo, Vanilla Birch) and three with Good Life Aromatherapy feel to then

(BLOOM ~ White Gardenia, FLOURISH ~ The Perfect Spring, Linen & Lavender)

Then there's WB Core line add ons, somewith frosted tumblers and some with smooth shiny ones - Aloha Kiwi Passionfruit, Endless Weekend, Eucalyptus Rain, Fiji White Sands, Fresh Cut Lilacs, Fresh Orange, Island Margarita (2x), Island Papaya, Mahogany Coconut, Paris Cafe, Peach Bellini, Pineapple Mango, Pomegranate Lemonade, Strawberry Poundcake, Sunshine and Daffodils, Tiki Beach, Watermelon Lemonade and White Gardenia

Lastly, after desperately trying to replenish their online stock, these 2 collections popped up online today. 

The first of these is, in lieu of New Year's Eve collection, there's this year's party themed collection, the "Roaring 20s" collection. This collection has 2 parts - the first group (with sort of Art Deco designed tumblers) appeared (and disappeared) during Candle Weekend. Returning scents include Black Cherry MerNO, Black Tie, Cranberry Pear Bellini, Hot Buttered Rum and Peach Bellini. There's a also Berry Spritzer but it's the same one from 2 years ago; this version is a repackage of Juniperberries & Pine

The 2nd group popped up online today; these are clear shiny colored tumblers with a velvet card shaped candle name label. Returning scents are Champagne Toast , Merry Mimosa, Party Dress, Pink Apple Punch and Spiced Apple Toddy. The one new scent is...

Frosted Moscow Mule - Sweet Lime, Lemon Zest, Sugarcane (said to be newness but very reminiscent of Island Margarita. BTW Moscow Mules were invented in the 40s NOT the 20s)

The 2nd collection that appeared online today is vaguely winter-ish collection; returning scents are Bowties & Bourbon, French Baguette, Smoked Vanilla, Tree Farm, and Winter White Woods. For whatever reason, this whole collection is an online exclusive.
