CANDLE RETROSPECTIVE: My Favorite Candles of 2016

Well 2016 is almost over...thank gawd!!! 2016 was...interesting. And the various collections at BBW this year was...interesting - late arrivals, whole collections missing in action (3 or 4 if memory serves me correct), seasonal collections being released hella early, the scents randomly and haphazardly thrown together under the most tenuous far-fetched themes. Spring was a cacophony of coconut, in Fall BBW seemed to get their act together kind of but was not entirely with wtf moments and winter was just a clusterf***y shitshow.

Anyway, as is my tradition, I like to look back on the shining moments of BBW though the year and highlight NEW nosegasmic scents that I think were the best of the best. I'll start from spring to winter

* means either exclusive or failed test scent

*Prickly Pear Sugarcane - it is beyond a damn shame that this scent wasn't released; it's right up there with Lavender Marshmallow and Summertime Soda...why BBW why?! First of all, it was an entirely new scent which that deserves a standing ovation in and of itself.  And it was actually good - it was fresh, it was juicy and it was authentic, it smelled the way it was supposed to smell

Paris ~ Lavender Macaron - probably as close to Lavender Marshmallow as we're ever gonna get

Mahogany Coconut - everyone knows my disdain and loathing of Mahogany Stankwood and the ever growing brood of mixed clones...but this one surprised the hell outta me and I found myself actually loving it.

Sparkling Waves - this one flew under the wire and was very under-marketed and unappreciated which was unfortunate because not only was it a new scent but it was actually good! Of all the water/ocean scents we get inundated with in summer, this in my opinion is the best one!

*Wild Sage & Aloe - ahh, the poor ill-fated Desert/Southwest collection - one of the most tragic wtf-iest  moments in BBW history. It's a travesty that this collection wasn't released as it was one of the most unique and anti-basic bitch scents that BBW has ever released. This scent in particular was so unique, so different and so good. Fortunately it's slated to reappear this upcoming spring...unfortunately no one knows if it'll share the fate of its previous iteration and won't go wide

Spiced Pomegranate Cider - yet another new scent that flew under wire and wasn't really spoken about very much. It wasn't very autumnal and in my opinion would've worked better as a winter scent however there's no denying that it was still a unique and creative scent that with better marketing could've been more successful.

Berry Pumpkin Strudel - I went back in forth with whether or not I should mention this scent. First of the name was a total misnomer and very misleading. Secondly it had one of the most atrocious and crappiest burns over. However I did truly love the scent - it was very close to my beloved Spiced Pumpkin Cider and I did like the addition of the berry notes albeit faint.

Pumpkin Fireside - this scent completely surprised me and blew me away. I was not expecting to love this scent as much as I did but I did.Why BBW didn't release this to all stores (but released the wf bulb) is beyond me.  It's just so warm and cozy with a beautiful burn; a perfect scent for brisk autumn evening.  My only critique as that it wish BBW hadn't put "pumpkin" in the name and threw in the "pumpkin" collection cuz it ain't a pumpkin scent

Hot Cocoa & Cream - by nature, I'm very skeptical of anything that is over-hyped. That said everybody was losing their minds over this scent on social media and it kinda turned me off. However I decided to be open-minded and I bought it...and I'm glad I did because it's amazing. I'm normally not a fan of chocolate scents but  love this one. BBW deserves a pat on the back for this bad boi cuz it's so spot on

Winter Mint & Spruce - this is without a doubt one of the most unique, complex and gorgeous scents ever to come out of BBW, it is absolutely beautiful! Granted, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't disappointed that it wasn't a repackage of the beloved but sadly forgotten Snow Day however I'm still quite satisfied if not blown away by this scent.

And now a quick shout-out to all the "from the vaults" ol school classics that were brought back this year

Black Pepper & Bergamot, Spring, Amsterdam (Flower Shop), Pomegranate Lemonade, Cucumber Melon, Autumn Day, Cider Lane, Merry Mistletoe, Cranberry Pear Bellini, Mint Chocolate, Creamy Nutmeg, Caribbean Salsa, Pink Sangria and Bartlett Pear

NEWNESS UPDATE: Spring 2017 Test Scents Part Deux *UPDATED*

Well gang, thought the last bunch of testing spring scents were random as's about to get more random!

Another collection has been making the rounds in both test and non-test stores..don't get excited! We've certainly seen some doozies lately nad you would think BBW would've learned their lesson but nope. Once again, they've lazily thrown together random scents in a nonsensical incohesive collection. So it's supposed to be a bright spring day/down home/country theme - think Happy Home/White Barn Market/Screendoors and Sweet Tea. It's a weird mix of herbal, floral, bakery and fruity.  New scents include...

Blue Sandalwood and Sage - Sandalwood, Crisp Bergamot, Lavender, Fresh Garden Sage (these notes sound suspiciously like Villa Bergamot/Bergamot Woods. It could also be Sage & Cedar/Black Tie)

Sweet Cherry Pie - Bright Red Cherries, Flaky Pie Crust, Crushed Almonds (this had better not be Creamy Nutmeg or Roasted Chestnuts & Cherries..  I've heard quite a few people say it smells like Warm Apple Pie mixed with Black Cherry Merlot)

White Tea and Pear - Sweet White Tea, Crisp Bartlett Pear, Sparkling Bergamot (okay...enough with the f***ing bergamot already!!! I sweartagawd, every spring/summer BBW becomes obsessed with some note and put it in everything - pomelo, gardenia, driftwood, coconut and now bergamot. Anyway, I'm REALLY hoping that this is Green Tea &White Pear from the Slatkin scents, one of his premier scents..but I have a funny feeling this is gonna be some Sparkling Pear Riesling type BS)

Sunlit Garden - Orchid Petals, Lush Green Leaves, Bright Marigold (Some say Green Grass, some say Provence Garden while others say Veranda Garden )

Strawberry Mimosa - Wild Strawberry, Effervescent Lemon Zest, Sugar Crystals (first off, this sounds more like strawberry lemonade that a mimosa, which is orange juice and champagne/sparkling white wine...that said, supposedly this smells like Watermelon Lemonade with strawberries)

Mahogany Cotton - (yes you read that right - another Mahogany Teakwood blend, this time with cotton... can't)

Returning scents include: Lemon Mint LeafFresh Cut Lilacs, Honeysuckle Bouquet,Peach Bellini and Watermelon Lemonade (for f*** sakes...although you already knew BBW was going to throw this mess into the mix)

Looks like I won't be spending hardly any money at this spring. BBW, my bank account thanks you!

And in case you missed it...NEWNESS UPDATE: Spring 2017 Test Scents Part One

As is customary for the Boxing Day/day after Christmas, my BF and I made our way to the mall to get our post-Christmas shopping on. And of course, as it was the official first day of SAS, we had to peep in White Barn to see what was good. We actually went to two WB; the first one didn't have jackshit and was both very picked over and understocked while the second one had an abundance of goodies..although nothing (fragrance-wise) for 75% off. The 2nd WB  had all of the new Aromatherapy candles (10.00), all the Let's Get Away Candles (15.50), a few of the new WB Core candles (full price..24.50...yikes!) and a slew of fall leftovers

Ok, so first let me get the WALK N SNIFF portion of newness I sniffed outta the way...

Eucalyptus Tea - already did a review from the random online test version

Black Chamomile - this seems to be the runaway hit of the revamped Aromatherapy collection...and I don't really know why. I've never ever used the Sleep/Detox bodywash/lotion  so I can't say if this gets high marks for accuracy. As much as I hate describing scents this way, to me it kinda smells like an unisex cologne. There's a dry powdery herbaliness from the chamomile and then you get an dry earthiness from the charcoal..or rather burnt bamboo (bamboo charcoal is known for its soothing and detoxifying properties). I feel like there are some other earthy and heady notes involved that adds to the "unisex cologne" vibe of this candle - tobacco maybe or vetiver. It's a very calm, soothing, relaxing scent- a perfect bubble bath/yoga/massage candle.

Sandalwood Fig - this was a bodycare only scent in the Aromatherapy line (2012 maybe or 2011..I can't remember). This smells pretty much they way you think it would with those two notes combined - very rich, smooth, sweet, creamy and heady with a hint of woodiness. The blend smells almost tropical; there's some notes they're leaving out - guava or passionfruit maybe? That said this smells so familiar; it smells like some tropical summer scent that's been around recently but for the life of me, I can't think of what it is

Eucalyptus Tangerine - this smells EXACTLY the way you think it would - Eucalyptus Mint with the mint toned down and a splash of sweet citrusiness

Lemon Zest - the bodywash is my JAM in the summertime and backintheday there was a candle  but they stopped selling it and it was super expensive on Evilbay, so I'm super excited the 3wick is back in action. It smells like a juicy freshly cut lemon; neither candy or cleaner. If like me you love lemon scents but are over Limoncello and Lemon Verbena, then this bud's for you

Iced Balsam - I was excited to see this as a)there was some buzz about this on social media and b)for the most part, this is the only candle in this collection to be making the most appearances nationwide. Don't get too excited...real talk, I was not expecting at all what I smelled...barnyard. It smells like moldy wet hay that was peed on by sweaty horses. REPULSIVE!

NOTE: There are two versions of the scent - this new one in the silver glass and the original test version in the blue glass that smells more true to the notes

Beach Blossom - so the notes for this sound more exotic than it actually smells. Think a more feminine perfumey version of Oceanside  - there's a wet melon like base note, a hint of citrus and a heavy blast of dewy powdery floral action...can't say whether or not it's "lotus"..peony maybe? It's very underwhelming and unnecessary

Lavender Coconut - at first glance, it's very easy to write this off as Lavender Marshmallow or Lavender's not, but very similar. LC isn't as sweet and the lavender note is much more potent and astringent. And there is an actual coconut note which you would think (like I originally thought) would not go together but the two actually blend together nicely. There's a creamy note that they aren't mentioning - tonka bean maybe, perhaps a hint of sandalwood. If I had to describe it on a simple basic level, I would say it smells like Lavender Macaron with an amped up lavender note and a hint of coconut meat/flakes in the background. Both and my bf were both genuinely surprised how much we both liked it. I will be getting one once it's on sale

And now the haul which was small and desperate. From both stores my bf and I both got....

  • a Winter room spray
  • a Tis the Season room spray
  • a Twisted Peppermint room spray
  • a Lavender Vanilla pillow mist
  • a Pumpkin Fireside 3wick (there was one all by itself)
  • a Pumpkin Fireside wf bulb
  • a Black Pepper Bergamot wf bulb
  • a Caribbean Salsa wf bulb
  • a Bartlett Pear wf bulb
  • Pink Sangria wf bulb
  • a mini Xmas tree (75%)
  • 6 glittery snowflake tree ornaments (75%)
I might hit up a few BBW stores this week but honestly I'm underwhelmed and probably won't buy any candles til all of the spring stuff is out

DROPPIN CANDLE KNOWLEDGE: Merry Christmapple ~ Apple Scents for the Holidays?

So we've had quite a few apple scents for the holidays over the years and occasionally I've heard people complain about it - why are there apple scents in winter...apples are for fall...apples are transitional...I don't need apple scents for Christmastime

Here's the things guys, there is a reason...apples has ALWAYS been associated with Christmastime.

As you (should) know...most of our traditions for Christmas come straight from pagan Europe. We've heard of a day called the Winter Solstice - the first official day of winter and the longest night of the year. Long before Christmas was even a thought in anyone's heads, the Winter Solstice was a big deal and a day worth celebrating..basically getting your party on before it's gets all crazy cold and dark for several months. In Germany, folks celebrated Yule (you know, as in "Yuletide" which was a 12 day extravaganza (as in "The 12 days of Christmas). Bonfires (and Yule logs)  would be lit, songs would be sung, neighbors and families would toast each with ....CIDER...also known as "wassailing" and kids would carry out clove spiked oranges ("pomanders...the main note of the classic Slatkin scent Winter) and APPLES, both symbolizing the sun. Everything would decorated with things from nature known to withstand the wintry elements - mainly ivy, holly and mistletoe, garlands and boughs symbolizing eternal life (this was also practiced in other civilizations and cultures). Eventually evergreen trees started getting decorated as well - most gods were associated with a tree and out of all the growing things in nature, evergreen/pine trees were big mamma-jammas who withstood all of what winter brought..and they were decorated with late hanging...APPLES. Because of red apples and berries along with green ivy, pine trees and mistletoe..well I think you already know where I'm heading.

Eventually Christian bigwigs were "yeah this is cool...but we're gonna put our Christian funk on this." which began the tradition of Christmas. Back in the early days, the holiday was nowhere what it is now; if anything it was more like Mardi Gras - people in masks singing, dancing, drinking and humping...which obviously didn't make the powers that be in the Church very happy and were all like "you bitches are having too much fun..God hates fun!" So the holiday became more solemn. There was even an attitude that Christmas should abolished...who gives a holy crap about Jesus' birthday..supposed birthday (technically he was born sometime in the spring) , it's his excruciating death that's more important. So Christmastime became more holy and secular. One popular thing during this time were mystery plays..think every Biblical movie on the Hallmark channel during Christmas and Easter..but done in real life on a stage for several hours cuz people really don't have much else to do in their free time but stand and watch people act out Bible stories for several hours. Usually the set always consisted of one thing...a tree..decorated guessed it..APPLES. The apple laden pine tree once dedicated to the gods and oncoming winter now symbolized the Tree of Paradise/Knowledge in the garden of Eden.

The Christmas tree as we know it didn't really come to be until around the 16th century. The trees would be decorated with wax candles (Christmas lights), little toys and trinkets, nuts, pastries and yes..APPLES. But the Christmas tree tradition really didn't kick off until the 18th century; by then countries and cultures all over Europe started decorating trees. However we have Queen Victoria for really putting Christmas trees on the map. As a little girl, a German born relative of hers introduced Christmas trees to the court and it blew Victoria's little mind. As an adult when she married Albert (who was German...and her cousin), she decided by royal decree that Christmas trees had to be a thing. News traveled across the Atlantic to the US and America lost their shit. Any trend in Europe had to be good so Christmas trees became a thing in America as well. Eventually our society became more city-fied and industrial and the more rustic and antiquated aspects of tree decorations got an upgrade - wax candles became strings of lights, trickets became figurines and apples became glass and eventually plastic balls. But apples weren't completely gone from the picture; garlands and wreaths and trays would be decorated with apples but more for aesthetic reasons than cultural or religious ones.

All that said, apples are not just a fall thing nor is it a transitional thing - it is ever much a part of the recipe of Christmas as pine trees, mistletoe and holly. And the Christmas scents whether it's BBW or Yankee, etc, reflect this sort of forgotten aspect of the Christmas tradition - from spiced apples to warm cider to apples hanging on a tree or wreath or bough, apples are part of the reason for the season!

NEWNESS UPDATE: Spring 2017 Test Scents *UPDATED*

Well it's not even Christmas yet and already spring scents are popping up in test stores..and from what I've seen and heard, there's not very exciting and random as hell

First off we're getting yet another marble collection...which I understand why seeing how abysmal the sales were for the fall marble candles. And like the fall ones, the scent choices aren't cohesive at all...

Mineral Springs - Soothing Mineral Water, Night Blooming Water Lily, Dash of Lime (no one seems to pinpoint what this scent is other than it's not Desert Rain or Sparkling Limemade or Beach Day or Lily Pond)

Bergamot Mint - Sparkling Italian Bergamot, Crisp Eucalyptus, Mint Leaves (There was an Eucalyptus Mint & Tangerine bodywash backintheday. There also was a  Nectarine Mint candle back in the Slatkin days. Anyway by all accounts this smells like Eucalyptus Mint with a hint of citrus)

Copper Coconut - Raw Coconut, Sea Salted Shells, Soft Amber (Lanikai Coconut?)

Returning scents include - Cinnamon Spiced Vanilla aka Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut and Black Teakwood aka Mahogany Stankwood

Next we're getting more additions to the WB core collection,,,again more random scents thrown haphazardly together

Black Tea Rose - English Tea Leaves, Fragrant Rose Petals, Aromatic Cedar (new scent and it smells like notes)

Lily of the Valley - Lily of the Valley, Creamy Musk, Garden Lilies (there was a candle of the same name spring 2014 which smelled like a watered down Lilac Blossom but I'm told this new one doesn't smell like that)

Orange Blossom and Driftwood - Orange Blossom Petals, Crisp Bergamot, Soft Sea-washed Wood (Summer Bonfire?)

Spring Leaves - Gala Apple, Warm Cinnamon Stick, Crisp Bartlett Pear (wtf?! What do these notes have to do with "spring leaves". I've heard that this has a Spice Apple Toddy vibe to it..again wtf?!)

Beach Blossoms - Ocean Lotus, Soft Beach Air, Warm Musk (Oceanside? Sunrise Lagoon? Beach Day?)

Lavender Coconut
Refreshing Lavender, Warm Coconut, Vanilla Bean(dude..really? lavender and coconut? When is the coconuttiness gonna end?! At any rate, I heard this basically smells like Lavender Marshmallow/Lavender Macaron....I've smelled this in's decent. It basically smells like Lavender Macaron with a heavier more astrigent lavender note with a hint of coconut...think macaroon or snowball mixed with edible lavender)

Sea Salt Pineapple - White Pineapple, Soft Sea Spray, Beachside Mango (This could very well be Pineapple Palm Grass but my money is on it being Pineapple Punch from way backintheday)

Mahogany Peach - Sweet Peach, Luxe Dark Mahogany, Iced Lavender (yep this is not an effed hoax, it's real, it exists...I've heard it smells awful, exactly what you'd think it would smell like - Mahogany Stankwood with mushy peach)

Spring BalsamSoft Pine Branches, Ocean Water, Sea Salted Air (what the everlasting f***?!!! I just can't....)

Returning scents include - Bergamot Waters, Pineapple Mango, Eucalyptus Mint, Watermelon Lemonade, Pure White Cotton, Endless Weekend and Mahogany Coconut

Last but certainly not least, it looks like we're getting a Fresh Picked collection, which we haven't had since 2014. Don't get too excited though...

Honey & Tangerine - Sugared Honeycomb, Golden Tangerine, Warm Tonka Bean (new scent and it smells the way it sounds)

Tomato Vine - Sunkissed Tomato Leaves, Fresh Spring Greens, Hint of Lemon (repackage of Heirloom Greens)

Sugared Lemon Zest - Bright Lemon Zest, Sorrento Lemons, Cane Sugar (I thought maybe Limoncello or Sugared Lemons but from what I've heard it's closer to Slatkin's Lemon Gelato)

Returning scents include - Eucalyptus Mint & Rain, Georgia Peach, Lavender Vanilla, Wild Sage & Aloe, White Gardenia and Praline Pecan

If this is any indication of what spring will look like next spring, I foresee a lot of money remaining in my bank account. However it may too early to judge as BBW is always full of surprises. We shall see....

WALK 'N' SNIFF: Home for the Holidays, Spa Day and Let's Get Away

Alright so let's start at the beginning with Home for the Holidays - I won't waste your time with Cranberry Pear Bellini, Merry Mistletoe, Hot Buttered Rum or Chestnut & Clove

Spice - Spice for awhile was a Christmastime staple backintheday . Then sometime in 2012 it became a WB core collection scent sold all year round. Then it disappeared..until now. Scentwise there's really not much to say about it - it's an intense red hot cinnamon scent along the lines of Cinnamon & Clove Buds and Holiday...but not nearly as piquant and in your face..and awful. You get that typical holiday spice blend with a hint of orange zest peel that gives it sort an old fashioned vibe.

Creamy Nutmeg - yet another Slatkin era holiday staple that disappeared..well actually that's not entirely true. In 2013's Winter Market collection, it was repackaged as "Winter Vanilla Latte". So CN sounds like it would be a spicy scent but it's not, not at all. It's actually more along the lines of Nutmeg & Spice or Kitchen Spice backintheday. You get a smooth and rich almost decadent milky creaminess a la Nutmeg & Spice. There's a hint cinnamon but it's not red hot or cinnamon-sugar but cinnamon stick/bark that's a little more earthy. The nutmeg is there; it adds to the spice blends and gives it an almost nutty flavor. Finally you get a powerful top note of almond. The best way to describe this scent is eggnog heavy on the vanilla mixed with amaretto and top with whipped cream sprinkled with ground nutmeg.

And now Spa Day...which first of all, it's wayyyy too early to be seeing a collection like this and secondly if this isn't one of the most laziest and random collections in BBW history, I dunno what is. Actually now that I think about it, it's really not worth talking about this collection cuz they're all returning scents and the two "new" ones are repackages...

Vanilla Flower - Vanilla Beach Flower

Bergamot & Suede - Bergamot Woods/Villa Bergamot

And now, last but not least the newest non-Christmasy collection to hit stores, Let's Get Away collection. As you know, BBW always does an exotic tropical trip to the beach type collection every year...but usually in the spring and not before SAS or Christmas..just bizarre! I won't waste your time or mine talking Beach Cabana, White Sand Beaches, Mango Dragonfruit or Coconut Leaves

Salted Vanilla - ok so I wanna ask what I think is an obvious question...what the f*** is "salty vanilla"? "salted" caramel... yes..."salted" chocolate again..yes...but "salted vanilla"? And if that is an actual thing, what does that have to do with the tropics or the beach?! It essentially smells like Buttercream Frosting/Frosted Cupcake with salt..and I dunno about yall, but that's kinda gross. It also kinda has a popcorn type feel to it, common in a lot of BBW-ian buttercream and "salty" scents. And there are some notes that they aren't telling us. There is something lurking in  the background that does have a tropical vibe about it...some kind of nut maybe? Macadamia? This scent is just all kindsa weird to me but I'm sure all of the bakery/frosting/vanilla lovers out there will lost their proverbial ish over this.

Jasmine Water - So what I smelled in the store was not at what I was expecting; I was expecting something along the lines of Island Waters/Sunrise Lagoon or Fresh Bamboo or Verbena Waters/Lakeside; a fresh watery scent with a hint of floral. What I got instead was an intense uppercut of old lady perfume. It smells soooo similar to Sun Tan aka Beachside which was very powdery and "mature" smelling. And there is a watery aspect with a hint of citrus that reminds me a lot of Bergamot Waters. This is in the same white powdery floral/dewy fresh water fabric softener family as Baja Cactus Blossom, White Gardenia, Tahiti Island Dream and Island Tiare Flower

Raspberry Lime Margarita - there was soo much speculation about this it Island Margarita with raspberry? Is Raspberry Citrus Swirl/Smile ~ Pink Lemonade Punch? In my opinion it smells extremely similar to an old Slatkin scent called Raspberry Sun Tea..which I burned this past summer so it's still relatively fresh in my scent memory. So right off the bat, this scent is totally misnamed; you do get raspberry but there's no lime and there's no margarita;to call this scent a "margarita" scent is a huuuge stretch. The raspberry is really sweet and artificial. And there is an undeniable black tea with citrus note a la London Calling. And further in the background there's a faint but noticeable floral note, hibiscus maybe? Overall, kinda disappointing and very misleading.

DISCLAIMER: There may be a batch variance situation with this scent as people are reporting that the get an intense (hibiscus) floral bodycare-ish smell a la Aloha Waikiki

Tobacco Flower - again, so much speculation. I thought at first maybe it was Havana aka Havana Heat aka Ski Den cuz that scent had hints of tobacco in it. Then I took a good look at the notes and thought "Hmmm...Mad about Madrid" Then I finally got to sniff it and sure enough I was right - Mad About Madrid ~ Under the Spanish Moon aka Tailgate from Fall 2014. So right of the bat, it's a "cologney" of the sweet and spicey variety. The black pepper and tobacco gives the blend a warm, spicy, piquant feel. There's also a sweetness, almost sappy and resinous borderline Flannel-ish. If you like sweet resinous earthy cologney blends like Flannel, then you'll like this one

SHOP 'N' GO: $8.50 Candle Day Haul

So my bf and I woke up bright and early to get our shop on. Something in my gut told to me to go to Paramus Park instead of GSP; unlike GSP, PP is rarely crowded and because the WB store is still relatively new, it would probably be better stocked. So we get to the mall right as it opened and there were only a handful of people inside..that's a good sign I thought. We got to BBW/WB... completely and utterly jam packed with lines out the door and getting more crowded by the minute. I had no time to dawdle and look around; I got what I wanted and hightailed it outta there.

So I wasn't expecting to see any newness; I really only wanted some Winter Mint & Spruces and Hot Cocoa & Creams...which  I was worried that I wouldn't even see those as both had disappeared online and too many people said that their stores ran out days ago. But lo and behold, not only did they have enough WM&S and HC&C for everybody but there was a shrine of newness right at the front of the store!

So I bought 8 candles and did two transactions - 4 each with 2 10off30 coupons. And I had a $50 gift card courtesy of my mom from my birthday that I had been saving for Candle Day. First I bought

Then I bought...
I had some money left on my giftcard enough to get one more candle but I was tired and the store was getting more crowded and chaotic and I just wanted to GTFOT

Now fast forward today. I strolled on over to the BBW in the City and the had all of the Home for the Holidays candles (the WB store on Candle Day didn't have Mint Chocolate, Chestnut & Clove or Cranberry Pear Bellini and there was only one lone Creamy Nutmeg...which I bought.) as well as (much to my surprise) the "Let's Get Away" collection ..Tobacco Flower, Jasmine Water etc which...yeeeahhh, that's a blogpost for another day.

I did 3 exchanges (which I was worried the store would give me problems but they didn't) and bought one with the remainder money on my giftcard. I bought...

That said I am so good with candles and don't think I'm gonna be getting anything else for long time
