RANDOM POST: Fall 2014 Candle Inspired Cocktails

This is for my fellow cocktail enthusiasts...aka lushes. Light up your favorite new fall candle and make yourself a cocktail inspired by it!

BTW DISCALIMER: I don't use measurements so do like I do and use your better judgment!

Wasabi Apple (Tom Collins)
Smirnoff Green Apple Vodka
DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker
Domaine de Canton ginger liqueur
Soda

Place some ice in your cocktail shaker. Pour in your Smirnoff. Add a dash of Sour Apple and an even smaller dash of DdC. Shake it up and pour in ice filled glass. Top off with club soda.

Blackberry Bramble Tea (Tom Collins/Tumbler)
Black tea (preferable Darjeeling tea)
Blackberry Elderflower Pimm's
Vodka (or gin)

Brew yourself some black tea (or if you're adventurous, you could make yourself tea infused syrup). Add sugar and let your tea cool off. Pour in your favorite unflavored vodka (I personally think this is better with gin, something dry and London-ish)in an ice filled glass. Then pour in your Pimms (it HAS to be the blackberry and elderflower one). Then pour in your sweetened tea and stir.

Vanilla Chai (Highball/on the rocks)
Tazo Chai Latte concetrate
Capt. Morgan Spiced Rum
Vanilla

Pour your Capt. Morgan over ice (preferably crushed), then pour in your chai concentrate (you could also brew your own chai and use soy milk and honey). Add a teaspoon of vanilla and stir. This could also be served hot as a toddy

Banana Nutmeg Bread Pudding (martini)
Malibu banana rum
Banana liqueur (preferably Leroux or DeKuyper)
Rumchata
Nutmeg

Pour in Malibu, Rumchata and banana liqueur in cocktail shaker. Shake and then pour contents into martini glass. Sprinkle a tiny bit of nutmeg on top for taste and decoration. You could also add nutmeg to contents before shaking but use strainer when pouring.

Bourbon Butterscotch (shot)
Bourbon
Butterscotch Schnapps

Pour in 1\2 of your favorite Bourbon (I say go with Makers) and 1\2 9f Schapps. Stir then chug.

Sea Salt and Maple Popcorn (shot)
Crown Royal Maple
Sea salt
Brown sugar

Mix brown sugar and salt to lick. Pour CR into shot glass. Lick brown sugar salt off hand then chug the shot.

Cayenne Caramel (martini)
Absolut Peppar
Pinnacle Caramel Apple
Bailey Crème Caramel
Caramel sauce
Cayenne pepper

Pour in the AP and Pinnacle into cocktail shaker with ice. Pour in the Bailey last. Shake. Drizzle the caramel sauce in the martini glass in a spiral from the rim. Pour contents from shaker into the glass. You can either put an actual cayenne pepper in the drink or on the rim or add one tiny dash of cayenne pepper on top

Pumpkin Cinnamon Bun (shot)
Pinnacle Cinnabon
Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie
Cinnamon

Pour in PC and PPP in cocktail shaker. Add a dash of cinnamon. Shake and strain contents into shot glass.

This could also be served as a martini. Add if you're daring, line the rim with cinnamon bun frosting.

Vanilla Pumpkin Marshmallow (martini)
Pinnacle Marshmallow
Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie
Rumchata

Pour in PM, PPP and Rumchata in cocktail shaker with ice. Shake and pour contents into martini glass.

Pumpkin Caramel Swirl (martini)
Bailey Crème Caramel
Smirnoff Caramel Vodka
Cinnamon
Caramel sauce

Pour in Smirnoff and then Bailey into cocktail shaker with ice. Shake. Drizzle caramel sauce in a spiral from the rim inside the glass. Pour contents of shaker into the glass. Add one dash of cinnmon on top.

Spiced Pumpkin Cider
well here's two recipes, one is a toddy recipe and the other is an actual cocktail

toddy: prepare an actual mulled cider, you know boil apple cider with cinnamon sticks, anise, nutmeg, clove etc in a pot. Stir in your brown liquor of choice - I personally prefer brandy in my toddies and it goes well with cider but you can use dark rum, whiskey or applejack. Add orange slices. Pour into your favorite mug

cocktail: apple cider
               Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie Vodka
               Brandy
orange liqueur "(preferably Cointreau but you can use Triple Sec)
               cinnamon and clove

Pour in a healthy but of cider into an ice filled shaker. Pour in your PPP. Add one splash of Cointreau and an even smaller splash of brandy. Add a dash of cinnamon and a dash of clove (just a dash, clove is strong stuff) Shake it up and pour into a highball or martini glass

Pumpkin Sugared Doughnuts (martini)
Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie Vodka
Pinnacle Cake Vodka
Pumpkin pie spice
Cinnamon sugar

Wet the rim of your martini glass and roll around in cinnamon sugar on paper towel. Pour in PPP and PC into cocktail shaker with ice. Add about tow or three dashes of pumpkin pie spice. Shake and strain contents into martini glass

This could also be served as a shot and you lick cinnamon sugar off your hand

Pecan Pumpkin Waffles (shot)
Crown Royale Maple
Frangelico

Add 1\2 of CRM and 1\2 Frangelico. Stir and chug.

Pumpkin Cupcake (martini)
Pinnacle Pumpkin Pie Vodka
Pinnacle Whipped Cream Vodka
Domaine de Canton Ginger liqueur
Whipped cream
Pumpkin Pie Spice

Pour PPP and PWC to cocktail shaker. Then add one dash of DdC. Then add about two dashes of pumpkin pie spice. Shake and then strain contents into martini glass. Add a dollop of whipped cream and top that with pumpkin pie spice

Pumpkin Caramel Latte (highball/on the rocks)
Bailey Crème Caramel
Rumchata
Tazo Chai Latte concentrate

Pour Rumchata into glass over rocks. Then add Bailey then top off with chai concentrate. Stir and stir.

This could also be served hot.
