NEWNESS UPDATE: Post Candle Day and Spring 2020 Test Candle Collections

We're barely into December, Candle Day wasn't that long ago, we're still a ways away from both the first day of winter and Christmas and there's already spring newness testing. While on the one hand, it was interesting to see what's possibly heading our way for SAS and spring, it just too early to wrap my brain around it all; it's hard to focus on and get excited about Spring when I'm in full on Christmas mode. So I have to ask dear reader for you to step away from all of the holiday cheer and check out the upcoming newness and then go back to your regular Yuletide schedule.

So there are some new newness that's available now. There's a Christmasy collection with wraparound labels. There's only one new scent

Winter Snowfall - Crisp Blue Sage, Iced Rosemary, Dried Cedarwood (said to be a possible repackage of the 2018 version of Sparkling Woods)

Returning scents include Fresh Ballsack, Fireside, Flannel, Cinnamon Caramel Swirl and Spiced Apple Toddy.

There are also candles in clear colored hob-knobbed tumblers - Rosewater & Ivy, Black Tie and Peach Bellini.

Lastly, a crapton of scents have been added to the WB Core lineup - Fresh Cut Lilacs, Blueberry Pie, Sundrenched Linen, White Gardenia, Endless Weekend, Peach Bellini, BLAHtermelon Lemonade, Renew & Refresh, Flower Shop, Mahogany Coconut, Beachscape, Island Papaya, Boardwalk, Tiki Beach, Beachscape, The Perfect Spring, and Almond

All of these are available online and in stores.

And now, moving on to Spring 2020 stuff...

So even more scents are gonna be added to the WB Core line

Suntan, Pure White Cotton, Fiji White Sands and Aloha Kiwi Passionfruit is coming back as well as Lavender Rose from the ill-fated Rose collection.

There is also one new scent...

Sunshine & Daffodils - Sunny Daffodils, Bright Citrus, Luscious Greens (this could be my bae Spring...or maybe Sunlit Garden)

There's also a few candles with the wax being the same colors as the tumbler. There are 2 new scents...

Crystal Waters - Sparkling Saltwater, Jasmine Blossoms, Blue Seagrass (Sapphire Seas maybe?)

Hibiscus Waterfalls - Tropical Hibiscus, Sweet Peach Nectar, Fresh Waterfall Mist
(no clue)

Returning scents include Island Margarita, Strawberry Poundcake and Fresh Oranges

Then there are some with iridescent tumblers. They're all returning scents - Pink Apple Punch, Honeysuckle, Cucumber & Lily and Citrus Crystals (same one from the online only Unicorn collection)

There's another collection with beach colored pastel pearlescent tumblers and square labels. At the moment, there are 2 new scents...

Freesia Garden - Blooming Freesia, Rosewater, Bright Leafy Greens (I'm hoping this Garden Freesia from backintheday)

Midnight Orchid - Moonlit Orchids, Luminous Sandalwood, Sugar Crystals (Beach Orchid?)

Returning scents include Sunwashed Citrus, Champagne Toast, and Palo Santo

Lastly there's a final collection with the half and half design that BBW/BBW seems to really like like lately; this design has an Arizona Adobe Desert Santa Fe art market vibe watercolor vibe. There's 2 new scents...

Sea Island Blossom - Moroccan Jasmine, Creamy Coconut, Orange Flower Blossom (repackage of Sunlit Cashmere)

Blue Orchard Skies - Pink Lady Apple, Soft White Woods, Fresh Orchard Skies (I heard someone say that it smelled like an ancient now forgotten former BBW staple called Country Apple)

Returning scents include Caribbean Escape, Lavender Vanilla, Lemon Mint Leaf, Vanilla Birch, Aloha Kiwi Passionfruit, Georgia Peach, Butterscotch Toffee, and Fiji White Sands

For all of you bakery lovers out there, you're in for a treat. We seem to be getting a new successor to Sweet Shop. It's an all bakery collection with a mix of old and recent favs and newness. New scents include...

Chocolate Marshmallow Cloud - Whipped Chocolate, Marshmallow Fluff, a Hint of Sea Salt
(From what I've heard this is neither Hot Cocoa & Cream, Smores, Bonfire Smores or Cannoli & Chocolate)

Glazed Cinnamon Bun - Cinnamon Sugar Bun, Orange Zest, Vanilla Glaze (no word on whether or not this Pumpkin Cinnamon Bun from backintheday)

Peach Sugarcone - Juicy Peach, Whipped Praline, Crunchy Sugared Cone (said to be completely new)

Returning scents include Unicorn Sprinkles, Banana Bundt Cake, Rosewater Meringue (from the Rose collection; and there is bodycar if you're into that) , Strawberry Poundcake, Lavender Marshmallow, and Black Cherry MerNO

There's a mini collection abstract floral-ish watercolor tumblers. There's one new scent..

Spring Daylily - Blooming Daylily, Bergamot Zest, Warm Spring Sunshine (I got nuthin)

Returning scents include Peach Bellini, Cactus Blossom, and Rosewater & Ivy,

There's another collection with an beach resort/spa vibe with watercolor leaves. At the moment, there are 2 new scents...

Coastal Sea Spray - Salted Ocean Air, Coastal Cedarwood, Fresh Squeezed Lime (sounds like Desert Rain)

Tropical Banana - Fresh Banana, Creamy Vanilla, Hints of Tropical Coconut (Coconut Colada? Banana Cabana?)

Returning scents include Eucalyptus Mint, Cactus BlossomBlahtermelon Watermelon, Tiki Beach, Rainforest Gardenia, Aloha Kiwi Passionfruit, and White Tea & Sage

And finally, because spring and summer overlap at BBW, we have to have a summer beach themed collection. There's 2 new scents...

Paradise Sunset - Freshly Squeezed Lemon, Sunny Citrus, Coconut Waves, Creme de Musk (Could be Pool Party. With BBW randomly bringing back classics, hopefully it's Seaside Escape but what are the chances of that happening?)

Pacific Ocean Air - Salted Ocean Air, Crisp Coastal Waves, Oceanside Balsam (said to the incredibly random Spring Balsam)

Returning scents include Pineapple Mango, Turquoise Waters, Flamingo Beach, Ocean Driftwood (with the same reused label as Salted Ocean Air), Blahtermelon Lemonade a-friggin-gain (with the same reused label as Island Papaya) and Mahogany Coconut

Comments

  1. Hibiscus Waterfalls sounds like an old summer bodycare scent that they had, I wish I could remember the name but I think it was pink...And Midnight Orchid sounds like it'll be similar to the hand soap from this past fall, I wanna say it was actually called "Moonlight Orchid," which is right there in the description.
