Real Talk About Bath and Body Works Candles

So I bought this along side Pumpkin Sugared Doughnuts online. Both were an instance of the curiousity killing the cat. I was intrigued as to how this might smell as was the case with PSD. I assumed that it was gonna be a repackage of Cinnamon Frosting from winters past. Fortunately my assumption was wrong! So after my bad luck with PSD, I thought surely I'd have better luck with PCB. Not so much. I decided to lit it and I'm glad I did cuz I did not like it! This will going back to the store with PSD! On cold throw it smelled amazing! Like Cinnamon Sugared Doughnuts on steroids! Rich, hearty, and gooey; it really smelled like a legit cinnamon bun! It was like walking past Cinnabon in the mall! I could smell a cakey CSD-esque bakery note, a little bit of war...

So as you know, BBW has doin a lot of ridiculous unnecessary shit lately that kinda turned me off. However my obsession...ahem I mean love for BBW runs deep. And I love fall scents!!! I couldn't just not buy anything. So I decided to make the best of it get myself goodies. Y'know, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade...and add vodka! So have stated in the past that a)I'm not a big fan of sweetey/bakery/gourmand scents. Moreover I loathe pumpkin scents with a virulent fiery white hot passion. Last year in their infinite wisdom BBW decided to combine the two creating an entire "pumpkin" inspired gourmand collections..which had everyone convulsing in fallgasmic pleasure...except me. This new trend has continued this fall with the "Pumpkin Café" collection. I decided that I would be open-minded and branch out, so I decided to give em all a huff..and some of em I wound liking and eventually buying! Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin I think this was the scent that turned me off to all things pumpkin-y. A few falls ago, my bf and I got a SCP 1wick 4oz, a decorative wf bulb and a room spray...and we hated them all. We've seen this SOB 4 friggin times! It first came out last summer in the Summer Lakeside collection, then it came back this past spring both in the Sweet Shoppe collection and the Garden Party collection and now it's back  with a vengeance this summer in the Summer Sips! Everyone goes nuts for this damned scent and I never understood the hype! However I decided to be open-minded and this version of it when it was discounted during SAS . So, in my most humble opinion, each incarnation of WL smelled slightly different. The first original version smelled to me a bit more watery and icy, liked lemonade that sat too long and the ice melted. The Sweet Shoppe version smelled more tart and lemony with little to no wate...

So this afternoon I went into The City to meet a friend for lunch but beforehand since I had some extra time, I decide to trek over to BBW since it was in the general area and get my huff on.
