NEWNESS UPDATE: Holiday Online Exclusives *UPDATED

So over the weekend, lots of..well.."interesting" things popped up online...and when I say interesting, I'm being quite sarcastic.

In addition to the "This Just In" candles (which should be in stores if you're willing to actually in one) so holiday candles appeared as online exclusives....don't get yourself excited as it bears the double whammy of being random and lame AF.

At the moment there 11 "new" candles (I have heard that a few more will be added but that could be subject to change.

There are 5 candles with clear tumblers with sort hand-drawn-esque Christmas scenes, similar to 2017 Camp Winter candles -

  • Apple Garland (not the failed test version, but the 2018 version that was basically a watered down Autumn)
  • Chestnut & Clove
  • Salted Caramel
  • Butterrum Eggnog
  • Snow Mountain Lodge
The rest kinda look a little generic with clear tumblers with various sparkly looking Christmas cut out pictures -
  • Balsam & Firewood (from last year)
  • Black Tie
  • Sparkling Woods (aka Lemon Verbena)
  • Vanilla Bean Marshmallow
  • Vanilla Birch
  • Blue Winter Sky (aka Beach Sage & Mint with peppermint)
Sooooo, I have some questions...
  1. With the exception Balsam & Firewood, Chestnut & Clove and maybe Apple Garland, what do these have to with Christmas?
  2. Who asked for specifically any of these?
  3. What about these scents make them special enough to be online exclusive, especially when some of these ARE ALREADY OUT IN OTHER COLLECTIONS?
I can't be the only candle lover out there who is completely and utterly over the deluge of repackages and re-releases of the same tired ass scents over and over this winter season...and just in general.

Look at get it BBW, you're a big company trying to make some profit in these troubling and unprecedented times. You release and re-release and repackage crap, gilding the lily by putting them in pretty packaging, the unsuspecting (and basic) populace buy them up and you make an easy quick buck.

Here's the thing... wouldn't you make more money by...oh I don't know....RELEASING SCENTS THAT PEOPLE ACTUALLY WANT AND HAVE BEEN ASKING FOR?!

You wanna make some candles exclusives to make some money (especially as there's another big wave of COVID19 and there's a possibility that non-essential businesses will have to close again)...that's fine. That's actually smart. However, if you're gonna do that...MAKE IT WORTH IT!

What exactly is the point of releasing basic scents that no one really asked for and some are already out? And the packaging isn't even particularly that great to make one buy the same scent over again?

Why not re-release the Woodland collection and make those online exclusives?! I for one would love to get my hands on a Lavender Pine candle cuz the wf refill is divine!

Or do a nostalgic throwback collection with holiday scents that we haven't seen a hot minute! Lord knows you have a shitton of options - Holly Wreath, Merry Mistletoe, Frosted Tree, Snow Day, Vanilla Spice, Sleigh Ride...WINTER FRIGGIN GARLAND

Or do a bakery collection...which for some reason you didn't do this year. The basics love bakery, you already know that. Again, you have choices - Orange Chocolate Truffle, Cinnamon Frosting, Mint Chocolate, Holiday Gumdrop, Candied Sugarplum, Peppermint Marshmallow, etc

I...I just don't understand you BBW....
